I have an extreme sweet tooth, therefore, I’m constantly searching for interesting new dessert spots. I therefore knew I had to check out Softy 100, a self-serve ice cream restaurant with 100 different toppings, when I read about it in Trichy. It was obvious as soon as I walked inside that this was no typical ice cream shop. The personnel was welcoming and there was a great smell of freshly churned ice cream in the air. However, I was utterly enthralled with the huge toppings bar as soon as I laid eyes on it.The counters were stocked with toppings in row after row, ranging from juicy fresh fruits, rich sauces, sprinkles, and crunchy cereals, biscuits, nuts, and chocolates. There had to be a minimum of one hundred options for toppings. I had no idea where to start.I began by getting a cup and ladling out some traditional chocolate ice cream. Then, when I added toppings, the real fun started. A drizzle of hot fudge sauce, banana slices, peanut butter cups, crushed Oreos, and rainbow sprinkles. And that was only the beginning! The fact that I could add as many toppings as I wanted and only pay for the weight of my ice cream was the nicest part. I ultimately made an amazing chocolate peanut butter banana split sundae, if you can put it that way. It was pure bliss.Softy 100 is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet cravings. Stop by any day from 10am to 11pm and treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind ice cream creation you’ll never forget. With 100 toppings, every visit can be a delicious new adventure!
