Chettinad College of Arts & Science was established in the year 2000 by Chettinad Educational Trust, following the footsteps of Dr Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar, Dr Alagappa Chettiar and Karumuthu Thiagaraja Chettiar to cater to the educational needs of aspiring students of Tiruchirappalli and its suburbs.
Chettinad College of Arts & Science is purely a self-financing institution affiliated to the Bharathidasan University. It offers job-oriented under graduate and postgraduate courses such as Computer Science, Commerce, Information Technology, Business Management and Mathematics.
